During the year 2005 and 2006 TRANSGERMA shipped three blocks of SIEMENS CCPP (Combined Cycled Power Plant) from Germany and other European countries to Rudeshur/Iran, approx. 60km south west of Teheran. Each Block covered one Gas Turbine weighing 310 m/tons, one Generator weighing 320 m/tons and one Transformer weighing 260 m/tons.
All heavy items and accessories were loaded in Bremen and other ship loads were loaded in Cons-tanza and Gijon /Spain. Port of entry in Iran was Bandar Abbas. From there the only suitable road exists to the site which was a distance of approx. 2,000 km. Each block was moved in a convoy of 2 x 24 axles and 1 x 16 axles plus numerous trucks with ODC and general cargo. Our Iranian partners also effected the customs clearance for account of the client and on behalf of the owners. At the site in Rudeshur we had to lift the Gas Turbine and Generator onto foundations by means of a specially designed and built strand jack gantry. The Transformers were skid-ded and jacked onto foundations. To place the heavy components onto foundations was performed under the supervision of the site management and the Siemens service engineers. All ODC and general cargo we had to offload to ground in a designated intermediate storage area. The three CCPP and all periphery equipment for EBOP and MBOP (mechanical balance of plant and electrical balance of plant) as well as tank plant covered approx. 2.500 m/tons of heavy lifts and approx. 48.000 cbm of ODC and general cargo.
